Your Questions, Answered
Welcome to Veluna Wellness™—where your transformative wellness journey begins. Below are answers to frequently asked questions to help you prepare for your personalized session.
Q: How do i book my session?
Booking is done exclusively online through the booking link on this site. You’ll be guided to select your session type, date, and time. Full payment is required at booking to secure your appointment.
If you have questions before booking, you’re welcome to reach out via email: selene@velunawellness.com.
Q: What should i expect during my session?
Your session is intentionally slow, attuned, and nervous-system centered.
We’ll begin with a brief check-in to clarify intentions, boundaries, and any physical or emotional considerations for the day. From there, you’ll receive a customized bodywork experience that may include massage, craniosacral techniques, energy work, and subtle ritual elements, depending on the session you’ve chosen.
At Veluna Wellness, sessions are not performance-based or outcome-forced. The focus is regulation, presence and deep listening to the body.
Q: How should I prepare for my session?
Come as you are. Comfortable clothing is encouraged, and you may want to avoid heavy meals right before your session.
Hydration beforehand is helpful, and giving yourself a few quiet minutes before arriving can make the transition smoother. After your session, allow space for rest or integration when possible.
Q: What kind of pressure do you use during your sessions?
My work prioritizes healing and relaxation over intensity. I use a balanced, intuitive pressure that supports release without overwhelming the body. Sessions typically involve light to medium pressure, guided by your comfort and physiological response.
This practice may not be ideal if you’re seeking aggressive or high-pressure massage, but it is well-suited for those looking for meaningful, long-term relief and nervous system support.
Q: Do you work on “knots”?
Yes, but not by forcing them.
What most people call “knots” are usually a combination of overworked muscle fibers, fascial restriction, and nervous system holding. My work emphasizes healing and nervous system regulation rather than intensity. I use a balanced, intuitive pressure, typically light to medium, along with slow, focused techniques to help these areas soften without overwhelming the body.
I don’t aggressively chase pain. Real release happens when the body feels safe and supported, which often leads to more lasting relief than forceful, high-pressure work.
Q: Do I have to receive energy work or spiritual elements in my session?
No. Every session is fully personalized.
You don’t need to believe in energy work or spiritual concepts for this work to be effective. If you prefer a straightforward, therapeutic approach focused on physical tension and nervous system support, that’s absolutely welcome.
Sessions work through presence, touch, and nervous system regulation, not belief systems. You can share your preferences in the intake form or when we begin, and I’ll meet you where you are.
Q: Do you offer energy-work only sessions?
Yes. I offer standalone craniosacral and energy-based sessions.
Some sessions focus primarily on craniosacral work and subtle nervous system regulation rather than traditional massage. These sessions are non-invasive, do not require undressing, and are well-suited for times when your body needs gentleness, rest, or emotional support rather than physical manipulation.
My approach is sometimes compared to Reiki, though it isn’t traditional Reiki. The work is intuitive and ritual-informed, blending somatic presence with subtle energy work. Sessions may include craniosacral therapy, guided breathwork, and simple ritual elements, all tailored to support regulation, emotional clearing, and restoration.
Q: Will i be touched during energy work or cranial sacral sessions?
Yes, though touch is minimal and always clearly communicated.
Craniosacral and energy-based sessions typically involve very light touch, and in some cases little to no touch at all. When touch is used, it is gentle, respectful, and intentional. These sessions are ideal for those seeking nervous system support, emotional release, or energetic clarity without traditional massage techniques or undressing.
You’re always welcome to ask questions or set boundaries at any point during the session.
Q: Where are sessions held?
All sessions take place in my private Santa Fe studio. Veluna Wellness is a location-based practice and does not offer mobile or in-home services.
The studio is designed to be quiet, grounded, and contained, allowing your nervous system to settle fully without outside distractions.
Q: What is your cancellation policy?
To honor both our time and the preparation involved, full prepayment is required at booking.
Appointments may be canceled or rescheduled with at least 24 hours’ notice. Cancellations made within 24 hours of the appointment are subject to a 50% fee. No-shows are charged in full.
Payments are non-refundable. However, appointments canceled with at least 24 hours’ notice may be rescheduled once at no additional cost. This policy helps protect the space, time, and energetic preparation devoted to each session.
Q: I’m new to holistic wellness—how will my experience be tailored?
Every session is adapted to where you are, not where you think you should be.
You don’t need prior experience, special knowledge, or spiritual language to receive this work. For those new to holistic or nervous-system-based bodywork, I take care to move at a pace that feels safe, supportive, and accessible.
We’ll begin with a brief check-in so I can understand your physical needs and any emotional or subtle aspects you’re open to exploring. From there, the session unfolds intuitively. I’m always happy to explain what I’m doing and why, helping demystify the work so you feel informed and at ease rather than overwhelmed.
The intention is not to educate at you, but to support clarity, comfort, and trust as you experience the work in your own way.
Still have questions? Feel free to reach out. I’m happy to clarify anything and help you feel confident and supported before booking.
